Associate Director - Corporate Finance - Valuation

What you will do

• Direct junior staff in developing detailed financial models to value companies and fund investments.
• Prepare and lead reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client-ready valuation deliverables.
• Present analyses to clients, meet project deadlines and quality expectations, and take ownership of work produced by junior staff.
• Train, supervise, delegate to, and manage junior staff across engagement tasks.
• Collaborate with BRG experts, external professionals, and client contacts on engagements and business development.
• Support marketing, client pitches, product and practice development, and the growth of the consulting practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting/finance, management, engineering, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of prior valuation work experience required, preferably with a national accounting firm or valuation firm.
• Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, particularly in Excel, including constructing and understanding three-statement financial models, cash flows, and scenario analyses.
• Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data and develop insights and recommendations from qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Experience leading the development and completion of client-ready valuation or similar client-service deliverables.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work with junior and senior colleagues, senior management, stakeholders, and other professionals.
• Mature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn quickly, strong problem-solving and project-management skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize changing work demands.
• Must be able to verify legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

• Significant progress toward an ASA designation, CFA, or a similar designation.
