Implementation Lead / Program Manager (AI)

Location: Onsite in New York, San Francisco, Munich, or London; salary information also lists Cleveland and Pittsburgh locations.

Salary: $110K–$140K in New York and San Francisco; $90K–$110K in Cleveland and Pittsburgh; €85K–€100K in Munich; £80K–£100K in London, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Own customer implementations from scoping through phased go-live, defining requirements, teams, workflows, deliverables, timelines, and post-sales commitments.
• Run customer and internal status meetings, maintain written status reporting, manage stage gates and sign-offs, and control scope, hours, risks, change requests, and resourcing.
• Plan and run onsite workshops, scope integration requirements, write actionable tickets, and coordinate integrations with ERP and other enterprise systems.
• Manage Scientific Implementation Managers and Associates, coordinate implementation partners and system integrators, and drive effective use of AI agents for configuration and setup.
• Partner with Account Managers on customer sentiment, escalations, future phases, go-live handoff, and Customer Success transition.
• Improve scoping, estimation, reporting, and implementation playbooks based on lessons across accounts.

Requirements

• 3+ years leading software implementations or digital lab rollouts, including end-to-end ownership of the plan, stakeholders, and outcome for at least some implementations.
• Background in chemistry, materials science, biology, chemical engineering, or a related field sufficient to scope R&D workflows and work with PhD-level researchers.
• Consistent project discipline across several concurrent projects, including status, risks, scope, and sign-offs.
• Ownership and judgment to challenge unreasonable timelines, scope, or designs with customers and senior colleagues.
• Existing use of AI tools and willingness to drive an AI-first delivery model in which agents perform a significant share of configuration and setup.
• Clear, concise written and presentation communication for bench scientists, R&D directors, and IT leaders.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving company where processes are still being built.

Nice to have

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a scientific or engineering field.
• Experience implementing ELN, LIMS, PLM, or other R&D data platforms on the vendor side or as a customer project lead.
• Experience leading digital initiatives across multiple sites or regions, including onsite workshops with scientific teams.
• Experience scoping ERP or other enterprise integrations and working with IT organizations.
• Experience with implementation partners or system integrators.
• Experience in a regulated or GxP-adjacent environment.
• A second customer language such as German, French, or Spanish.
