Lead IT Program Manager (AI)

Location: Boston, MA, US; the role may require up to 10% travel.

Base pay range: $132,000–$198,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale, cross-functional programs across IT Support, IT Systems, and IT Network from scope definition through delivery.
• Manage program risks, contingency plans, success metrics, budgets, resourcing, and leadership reporting.
• Lead vendor evaluations, RFI/RFP processes, proofs of concept, build-versus-buy recommendations, and performance management.
• Own Corporate IT OKRs, strategic planning, portfolio intake, prioritization, capacity planning, and roadmaps.
• Define and coach pragmatic Agile practices across project, operations, and support teams while supporting the migration from Jira to Linear.
• Use AI to automate program operations, improve reporting and portfolio analysis, and champion responsible AI adoption.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in program or project management, operational leadership, or strategic consulting, ideally in IT, infrastructure, or technical environments.
• Hands-on experience implementing and coaching Scrum and Kanban practices across multiple teams.
• Experience establishing, running, and reporting on OKRs or a similar goal-setting framework with senior leaders.
• Track record of diagnosing inefficiencies, redesigning workflows, and driving process adoption.
• Experience delivering large, multi-team technical programs, including programs with budgets over $1M, and working closely with finance and procurement.
• Working understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts, including infrastructure as code and automated deployments; hands-on experience is not required.
• Experience leading vendor evaluations and RFP processes through contract and performance management.
• Daily AI-native working practice with concrete examples of using LLM assistants, AI search, or agents to improve planning, communication, and delivery.
• Experience building AI-assisted workflows or automations, such as prompts, agents, or low-code automation.
• Strong communication, active listening, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to tailor messaging from engineers to executives.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linear, Jira, or a similar modern Agile work management tool.

Nice to have

• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, or Lean/process improvement certification.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS ecosystems such as Okta, Slack, Workday, or Jamf, or with network, security, and compliance programs.
• Familiarity with low-code automation or workflow tools.
• Experience mentoring or informally leading other project managers.
