2027 Summer Internship (US) - AI

Location: Hybrid internship in Lincolnshire, Illinois, with at least 3 days of in-office attendance.

Salary: USD $36.00–$44.50 hourly.

What you will do

• Integrate document libraries, interview transcripts, market and competitive research, and third-party feeds into ingestion pipelines.
• Build connectors with authentication, change detection, and parsing for attachments and binary files.
• Automate and orchestrate ingestion workflows, source reconciliation, version tracking, and synthesis-page generation.
• Develop Claude-driven commands for document chunking, finding extraction, structured synthesis, charts, and briefs.
• Research and test prompt templates, orchestration scripts, Python utilities, data-refresh flows, dashboards, and HTML/PDF reports.
• Maintain metadata taxonomies, audit connector and schema health, document APIs, and manage team-based assignments.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate MS/MA program in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field.
• Anticipated graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with REST APIs and standard authentication flows such as OAuth and Microsoft Graph.
• Experience or demonstrated project work with LLMs such as Claude or GPT and modular prompt engineering.
• Exceptional technical writing, attention to detail, self-direction, clear communication, adaptability, learning agility, integrity, and confidentiality.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Git, JSON, YAML, Markdown documentation, workflow orchestration, and automated data-pipeline scheduling.
• Basic knowledge of business analysis and strategy concepts, including TAM/SAM/SOM, customer value propositions, and customer-pain validation.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus familiarity with technology solutions.
