Senior Solution Consultant, SLED (Texas)

Location: United States; based in Texas, with regular travel across the southern territory. hirify.global is a full-time, in-office company; unless a role explicitly states otherwise, employees work onsite five days per week at an hirify.global office.

Salary: $181,000–$230,000 USD annual base salary, excluding bonus, sales incentives, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Act as the senior technical and product expert for state, local, and education agency engagements across the southern territory.
• Own technical accuracy for RFx responses, analyze complex RFPs, and create reusable whitepapers, playbooks, and how-to content.
• Diagnose customer requirements, design and configure solutions, and create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and differentiated demonstrations.
• Lead complex proofs of concept and integration designs involving APIs, federated protocols, agency environments, and existing or federally funded credential providers.
• Partner with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and other teams to resolve escalations, shape product enhancements, and translate customer feedback into actionable requirements.
• Present technical concepts to agency stakeholders and at marketing events, trade shows, and user conferences while mentoring Solution Consultant team members.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience performing Senior Solution Consultant responsibilities in a customer-facing consulting, technical support, or solution engineering role.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with REST APIs, including practical real-world use.
• Proficiency with authorization, authentication, and federation protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, and Bearer Token Authentication.
• Confident technical presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills with senior stakeholders.
• Expertise in at least one area: IAM platforms and concepts, identity verification, web development, mobile development, or backend development.
• Web, mobile, or backend experience may include JavaScript, HTML, frontend frameworks, iOS, Android, Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-63-3 / 800-63-4 guidelines and standards.
• Knowledge of the complete SDLC, modern software development methodologies, DevOps practices, and associated technologies.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of the hirify.global platform and solutions; curiosity and a positive, can-do attitude.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting state, local, or education customers in presales, consulting, or delivery.
• Experience with SLED programs including unemployment insurance, workforce, Medicaid, health and human services, K-12 or higher education, and public retirement systems.
• Experience designing SAML or OIDC federation for state IT environments, student information systems, or benefits eligibility platforms.
• Experience with multi-campus university or community college systems and system-office procurement.
• Understanding of state procurement vehicles, fiscal-year timing, biennial legislative calendars, grant-funded deadlines, and publicly funded credential-provider dynamics.
• Familiarity with ADA / Section 508 accessibility requirements and state privacy law for constituent-facing identity flows.
• Experience contributing to state or local RFP, RFI, or RFQ responses and working across program, IT, security, and privacy stakeholders.
