Senior Accountant (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Remote within the United States; remote-based in the SF Bay Area, NYC, or Seattle.

Base salary: $86,960–$108,700 USD for Tier 2 U.S. metro areas; other geographic tiers range from $82,612 to $125,005.

What you will do

• Execute month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities, prepare journal entries and accruals, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and investigate variances.
• Support AP, AR, billing, collections, revenue recognition, expenses, fixed assets, depreciation, debt, leases, inventory, and insurance accounting.
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 842 lease accounting, fixed asset and CIP capitalization, and related U.S. GAAP requirements.
• Support the Galleon program across procurement, inventory, CIP, capitalization, deployment, redeployment, retirement, and disposal.
• Maintain NetAsset records, track Galleon fleet movements, and support physical inventory and fixed asset counts.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, HR/Payroll, Revenue Accounting, and Finance leadership while improving controls, ERP workflows, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; active CPA license required.
• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including broad in-house general ledger experience; a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting is preferred.
• High-growth or startup experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for large-data analysis, scalable reconciliations, and reporting schedules.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 360, ASC 470, and internal controls; ASC 330 familiarity is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Broad experience across several of AP, AR, revenue, fixed assets, debt, and leases; capital-intensive operations or fixed asset programs are a plus.
• Success improving accounting processes, implementing controls, or supporting system enhancements.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and communication skills, independent judgment, ownership, and proactive problem-solving ability.

Nice to have

• Power Query or similar automation tools.
• Experience with AP/spend management, billing, and payroll systems.
• Experience with capital-intensive operations or fixed asset programs.
• ASC 330 inventory accounting familiarity.
