What you will do

• Lead complex failure analysis investigations across semiconductor devices, integrated circuits, packages, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and execute strategies using electrical, physical, material, and structural characterization, fault isolation, and failure localization.
• Investigate yield, reliability, performance, and customer-return failures and determine root causes.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions with manufacturing, process engineering, design, product engineering, quality, and reliability teams.
• Define advanced methodologies, tools, and workflows; support technology transfers, manufacturing ramps, process qualifications, and new product introductions.
• Analyze datasets and laboratory findings, present recommendations, mentor junior engineers, and use AI-enabled tools to improve investigation efficiency.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD in the same field with 1+ years of experience.
• Experience in semiconductor device physics, including hands-on physical failure analysis.
• Experience with defect detection or fault isolation methodologies in manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, technical leadership, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable recommendations and influence without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Digital or analog circuit design and validation experience.
• Experience using and encouraging AI tools for efficiency projects and Failure Analysis output improvement.
• Previous related experience in a semiconductor foundry.
