Process Support Engineer IV (Semiconductor)

Location: Hillsboro, OR (on-site); travel required 25% of the time; relocation eligible.

Salary: $128,000–$176,000 per year.

What you will do

• Act as the liaison between customers and the Business Unit for assigned projects, clarifying customer issues and delivering applicable solutions.
• Optimize tool performance with customers to meet process and integration requirements.
• Check and approve the operational quality of system equipment and instruct customers in system operation and maintenance.
• Perform on-site installations and oversee diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Guide products through the lifecycle from initial concept to final qualification while collaborating with customers and R&D teams.
• Develop process experiments and DOEs, analyze statistical data, compile reports, and resolve complex process engineering and customer product issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment or a similar high-tech industry.
• Knowledge of 3 or more processes across 1 or more technologies, including Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal, or Implant.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Experience with customer support, equipment installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair.
• Experience with process engineering experiments, design of experiments, statistical data analysis, reporting, and root cause analysis.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in Applications or Process Engineering.
