Principal Product Manufacturing Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Remote, California. Salary: $99,600.00–$130,725.00 per year, depending on experience, skills, and background.

What you will do

• Evaluate customer silicon devices, technical requirements, product applicability, feasibility, manufacturability, risks, and integration challenges.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications, recommendations, and manufacturable solutions.
• Act as a technical interface for Sales, Marketing, Field Applications, Customer Support Engineering, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and customers.
• Lead or support structured investigations, root-cause analyses, corrective and preventive actions, and issue resolution.
• Support new customer device, application, and product configuration introductions through qualification and product adoption.
• Improve application engineering tools, test methods, documentation, workflows, standards, and integration processes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience applying engineering principles, product knowledge, and data analysis to complex or ambiguous technical problems.
• Ability to evaluate manufacturability and communicate technical recommendations, trade-offs, risks, and product capabilities to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong independent engineering judgment, abstract thinking, customer-facing communication, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Skills with Autodesk AutoCAD and CAD tools.
• Microsoft Office and scripting skills.
