New York Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work with in-person work in local hirify.global offices and on client sites, including local or out-of-state travel.

Salary: $97,000–$157,000 annually; 10% bonus target; estimated total cash range of $106,700–$172,700.

What you will do

• Mentor, train, and coach interns and consultants while facilitating project work plans.
• Identify technology and business risks and opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
• Support project scoping, work plans, staffing, deliverables, and methodology application under manager direction.
• Assess and advise clients on cybersecurity, cloud assurance, technology risk, IT general controls, AI and data governance, privacy, regulations, enterprise applications, resilience, and emerging technologies.
• Apply analytics, AI, automation, and other technology enablement tools to audit work.
• Build client relationships and communicate audit issues and technology topics to client personnel, including executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related business discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or a related field in professional services or industry.
• Understanding of IT audit methodologies and preparation of process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, and ITIL.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley provisions and technology compliance requirements.
• Ability to evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data; document findings and summarize recommendations.
• Ability to establish business relationships, communicate technology and audit issues to clients, and supervise, mentor, review, and coordinate team work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
• Background check required as a condition of employment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications, disaster recovery, and systems development methodologies.
• Experience with automation, AI/ML, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or RPA solutions.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar.
• Interest in current data and technology trends, project management, team leadership, and working with clients across multiple industries.
