Technical Sourcer (Aerospace)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States (onsite)

Base salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year, plus potential stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses, with vehicles and equipment built, integrated, and tested in-house.

What you will do

• Own technical sourcing strategy, intake, calibration, and top-of-funnel health across aerospace engineering disciplines including Avionics, GNC, Manufacturing, Mechanisms, Propulsion, Structures, Systems Integration & Test, and Thermal.
• Identify, engage, and build relationships with passive candidates for hard-to-fill engineering roles.
• Research talent markets, measure response rates, track market feedback, and use data to refine search strategies.
• Partner with hiring managers on intake sessions, market and compensation guidance, and hiring strategy.
• Represent Varda’s mission and guide candidates through hiring decisions while delivering a strong candidate experience.
• Improve sourcing processes, mentor others, and support inclusive interview practices and scalable talent pipelines.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of technical sourcing experience, including a record of filling hard-to-fill engineering roles and driving offers.
• Hands-on LinkedIn Recruiter expertise, including advanced Boolean search and sourcing strategy.
• Self-starter who takes full accountability, operates comfortably with ambiguity, and pushes searches forward.
• Experience sourcing senior-level and leadership talent in competitive markets.
• Clear, proactive communication with candidates and hiring managers, including keeping stakeholders informed.
• Strong understanding of business functions to evaluate candidate depth and contextualize role requirements.
• Must work onsite in El Segundo, California, United States.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person permitted to access export-controlled technology without an export license.

Nice to have

• In-house recruiting experience at a hardware or deep tech startup from Series A through growth stage.
• Experience sourcing across multiple engineering functions such as Avionics, GNC, Manufacturing, Mechanisms, Propulsion, Structures, Systems Integration & Test, and Thermal.
• Experience with Greenhouse ATS.
• Exposure to ITAR or export-controlled hiring environments.
• Active network in the LA aerospace corridor.
• Familiarity with diversity sourcing strategies and tools.
