Solutions Engineer, Federal (U.S. Navy) (Observability)

Location: Hybrid in Reston, VA or remote in the Washington, DC metro area; approximately 40% travel. Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Base salary plus commissions; total potential OTE compensation is $245,000–$260,000.

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert for U.S. Navy customers throughout the sales cycle.
• Partner with Account Executives on technical account strategies for strategic Navy accounts.
• Lead technical discovery, solution presentations, demonstrations, workshops, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept evaluations.
• Translate Navy mission, operational, and technical requirements into observability solutions that improve performance, visibility, and user experience.
• Position Digital Employee Experience and Network Performance Monitoring capabilities in complex DoD environments.
• Guide technical evaluations, resolve objections, support technical validation, and identify expansion opportunities.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Multiple years supporting U.S. Navy, DoD, or federal government customers in a technical, engineering, consulting, or presales capacity.
• Experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical professional.
• Strong expertise in observability, particularly Digital Employee Experience and/or Network Performance Monitoring.
• Familiarity with endpoint analytics, network visibility, packet and flow analytics, infrastructure monitoring, AIOps, Application Performance Monitoring, or cloud observability.
• Ability to lead technical discovery, demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept or proof-of-value evaluations with technical and executive audiences.
• Strong communication and consultative selling skills, including translating complex technical requirements into mission, operational, and business value.
