AV Project Manager (Audiovisual)

Location: Nashville, TN, USA. Onsite project and construction-site work is required, with 70–90% local travel to job sites, up to 30% remote travel, and frequent car travel plus occasional airplane trips.

Salary: USD 80,000–110,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own audiovisual systems integration projects from initiation through closing, managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, profitability, billing, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate project communications, meetings, schedules, task lists, deliverables, drawings, documentation, engineering, CAD, programming, installation, system checkout, training, and turnover.
• Lead internal and external stakeholders, including account executives, directors, technicians, subcontractors, contractors, trades, clients, and service teams.
• Monitor labor, equipment, materials, staffing, budgets, risks, timing, and project progress; provide updates and ensure timely, accurate completion.
• Perform field verification, document site issues, facilitate design reviews, coordinate punch-list completion, and support quality and continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary client interface, managing expectations, communications, decisions, relationships, and conflict resolution.

Requirements

• 3+ years of project management experience with familiarity with audiovisual systems in commercial construction trades or an office environment.
• Familiarity with audiovisual systems installations and knowledge of low-voltage electrical projects.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, supervisory, people-management, planning, delegation, organization, prioritization, and client-focus skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political, and people-related problems and remain effective in tense situations.
• Ability to manage project risks, expectations, stakeholders, schedules, budgets, scope, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work on construction sites, comply with safety regulations, use required PPE, spend at least 40% of time on foot, climb ladders and stairs, and lift or move materials up to 20 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and ability to use a personal vehicle for work travel.
