Intern Engineering Designer, Roads and Highways

What you will do

• Become familiar with engineering plans and details, and assist with engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under close supervision.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist with computer modeling.
• Support project monitoring, scheduling, and progress reporting.
• Apply relevant codes and standards to engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and support staff.
• Attend site visits and inspections.

Requirements

• Currently in the third year of an undergraduate Civil Engineering program at an accredited institution.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and engineering software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and professional interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical, fair, and responsible behavior.
• Commitment to innovation and continuous learning.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
