Senior Project Engineer (Outages)

What you will do

• Lead recovery projects for significant forced outages and support other technically, financially, or commercially complex projects.
• Develop rapid, cost-effective solutions for catastrophic unit failures and manage customer communications.
• Coordinate product lines, repair networks, factories, engineering, sales, vendors, supply chains, and customer responsibilities.
• Manage multiple sites with focus on safety, quality, technical decisions, project duration, cost, risk, and financial reporting.
• Develop estimates and proposals and maintain detailed schedules covering site work, vendor work, shop repairs, and supply chains.
• Provide project updates to customers and hirify.global executive management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in engineering plus 5+ years of field outage experience, or 8+ years of field outage experience.
• Project management experience on Level 3 or Level 4 outages.
• Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
• Detailed knowledge of steam turbine, gas turbine, and generator construction and maintenance practices.
• Understanding of power plant construction and repair shop practices.
• Ability to write detailed schedules and develop cost estimates.
• Knowledge of heavy haul and logistics.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
