Senior Engineering Manager (Power Grid)

Location: Hybrid; primary work location in Rosemead, California. Employees are required to work and reside in California, report to an SCE facility for a set number of days, and may work remotely on remaining days. Up to 20% travel and field work throughout the SCE service territory is required. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $182,800–$274,100 per year.

What you will do

• Lead engineering and business initiatives for grid strategy, planning, design, operations, and maintenance.
• Manage and prioritize the engineering roadmap with other departments and improve execution efficiency.
• Lead and support project engineering teams delivering small- to large-scale capital and strategic projects.
• Manage team performance, project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and delivery barriers.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk assessment, mitigation strategies, reporting, and project management frameworks.
• Drive digitalization, automation, safety programs, cross-organizational strategy, and protection of sensitive company and customer information.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience supervising direct reports and/or managing projects.
• Experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments.
• Ability to manage engineering teams, project delivery, budgets, resources, risks, and strategic initiatives.
• Ability to complete a Personnel Risk Assessment or Background Investigation and specified NERC/CIP training before receiving unescorted access to assigned work locations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
• Professional Engineer’s License.
• Detailed knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices, and advanced engineering principles.
• Thorough knowledge of technologies used for specialized, unique, or complex assignments across various service installation types.
