Casualty QA Internal Auditor (Insurance Claims)

Location: Fully remote from the United Kingdom; candidates must hold British Citizenship and have no restrictions on working in the UK.

What you will do

• Conduct technical, quality, data, planned, ad hoc, and thematic audits across claims operations.
• Review claims files, processes, controls, and operational performance to identify strengths, trends, weaknesses, and risks.
• Analyse claims and operational data, manage audit samples and schedules, and produce reports with practical recommendations.
• Present findings to stakeholders, provide feedback, and maintain effective relationships while preserving audit independence.
• Monitor corrective action plans and support improvements to claims processes, controls, data quality, compliance, and customer outcomes.
• Identify training needs, coach less experienced colleagues, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in UK insurance claims handling, auditing, quality assurance, or a related technical claims role, including Scotland and Northern Ireland.
• Strong understanding of one or more of: casualty claims including EL/PL/third-party property damage and CAR, motor personal injury claims, disease claims, or professional risks/medical malpractice.
• Good understanding of UK policy and indemnity coverages, UK law, and regulatory and compliance procedures.
• Experience conducting audits, reviews, or quality assurance assessments with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organisational, and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to identify risks, recommend practical improvements, develop and monitor corrective action plans, and drive them through to completion.
• Strong report-writing, presentation, and communication skills, including presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working with claims data and audit sampling methodologies.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; ability to work effectively in hybrid and office-based environments when required.
• British Citizenship is required due to national security requirements, and candidates must have no restrictions on working in the UK.
