Chief of Staff (AI)

Location: New York City, New York, US; full-time, in-person role

hirify.global is a Series A AI company based in New York and London that automates document processing and underwriting for financial technology companies, banks, lenders, and insurers. Its software processes emails, attachments, bank transactions, and financial documents to support customer decisions.

What you will do

• Work directly with the CEO and Business Operations across finance, people operations, business reviews, and quarterly planning.
• Support budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, and data-informed business decisions.
• Coordinate company and team metrics, explain changes, identify issues, and follow up on decisions.
• Help teams set priorities, goals, staffing plans, and budgets while tracking progress and resolving competing priorities.
• Analyze company and customer performance and improve internal processes and systems.
• Lead projects from start to finish, including assessing new markets or launching new business lines.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of analytical experience in consulting, banking, or a startup strategy or operations role; candidates with different backgrounds may explain their fit.
• Ability to break complex problems into manageable parts and use data to support decisions.
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage deadlines, recurring work, and follow-through.
• Clear written and verbal communication with engineers, customers, and the board.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and Structured Query Language (SQL), including retrieving numbers independently.
• Interest in using artificial intelligence (AI) to automate work and find answers faster.
• Ability to form and explain evidence-based opinions.
• Good judgment and discretion when handling confidential financial, employee, and company information.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple business operations areas is not required; willingness to learn quickly and handle both analysis and practical operating details is valued.

Hiring process

• Initial 20-minute conversation.
• Take-home task and review, described as approximately three hours in one section and a 90-minute timeboxed task in another.
• Typically four team interviews with case exercises and experience questions, followed by references from two people who can discuss the candidate’s work and working style.
