Associate General Manager (Fintech)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid

Salary: $180K–$200K plus equity

What you will do

• Coordinate day-to-day workstreams, maintain system accuracy, produce weekly reporting, and manage escalation paths for an assigned commercial partnership.
• Support the General Manager with analytical and operational work, including MBR and QBR materials.
• Develop solutions based on partnership unit economics and track their P&L impact, applications, and contribution profit.
• Analyze partnership data, identify root causes, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Data & Risk, Legal & Compliance, Finance, Engineering & Product, and Marketing.
• Build processes that improve operational efficiency and commercial outcomes while proactively escalating risks and prioritizing competing workstreams.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or a high-growth technology or financial services environment.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work through complex data sets, identify root causes, and quantify P&L impact.
• Clear, direct communication skills and the ability to drive conversations at the executive level.
• Highly organized, with the ability to define problems, structure solutions, and execute across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and making progress without complete information.
• Proven ability to flag risks early and prioritize with urgency.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with partnership or commercial operations in financial services or payments.
• Experience supporting or working alongside a General Manager or senior business leader.
• Exposure to unit economics modeling, contribution margin analysis, or P&L management.
