Chief of Staff (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Foster City, California; in-person work required at least three days per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 per year plus equity.

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted advisor, operational stand-in, and direct thought partner to Replit’s President.
• Synthesize operational insights and briefings for high-stakes technical and organizational decisions, and represent the President when needed.
• Resolve cross-functional bottlenecks across Engineering, Product, Support, AI, and People teams.
• Lead complex initiatives without a clear functional owner, including product unit economics, developer tooling infrastructure, pricing models, and technical re-architectures.
• Build and deploy AI agents, automation pipelines, and operational workflows for status synthesis, metrics tracking, scenario modeling, and monitoring.
• Increase execution speed, clarify priorities, and provide continuous visibility into technical, operational, and organizational health.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in high-growth technology, with a background in strategy, operations, product operations, or technical chief of staff roles and extensive collaboration with Engineering and Product leadership.
• Strong technical fluency sufficient to work credibly with Staff and Principal Engineers and AI researchers, together with operational empathy for Support and People teams.
• Ability to define and resolve ambiguous, sprawling problems without formal line authority.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including evaluating unit economics, analyzing technical systems data, building scenario models, and identifying actionable signals.
• Direct, concise, executive-ready communication skills for presenting trade-offs and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Hands-on experience using LLM workflows, coding agents, and automation frameworks to improve productivity and analytical depth.
• Ability to work in person at least three days per week in Foster City, California.
• Experience navigating rapid organizational scaling while maintaining high cultural and engineering standards.
• Prior experience with developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI coding assistants, or developer-focused software ecosystems.
