Staff Software Engineer (Applied AI)

Location: New York City, NY or San Francisco, United States

Salary: $240,000–$300,000 per year, plus 0.13%–0.24% equity.

hirify.global is building an AI operating system for the industrial supply chain, using AI agents to automate workflows and improve decision intelligence for logistics providers, manufacturers, 3PLs, and industrial businesses.

What you will do

• Set the standard for applying AI agents and AI-assisted tooling across the staffing marketplace.
• Architect and lead core systems, including real-time matching and autonomous vetting pipelines powered by ML and agents.
• Own the platform architecture and anticipate infrastructure needs one to two years ahead.
• Drive backend performance, reliability, scalability, and production deployment.
• Partner with the CTO and founding team on architectural decisions and roadmap development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with TypeScript/Node.js or Python, PostgreSQL, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Deep full-stack experience building performant, scalable applications.
• Expertise in API design, data modeling, query optimization, and distributed systems.
• Track record of shipping and leading high-velocity projects at scale.
• Ability to move between API design and deployment infrastructure.
• Ability to own ambiguity and provide direction in an early-stage environment.

• Experience building or integrating AI/LLM systems in production.
