Senior/Staff Full Stack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Seattle, WA or McLean, VA preferred, or remote within the USA; U.S. citizenship is required. Some travel to customers may be required.

Salary: $180,000–$240,000 annually.

What you will do

• Build full-stack features including responsive interfaces, administrative tools, backend services, data models, APIs, and production integrations for federal and portfolio-company partners.
• Integrate applications and agents with hirify.global OS APIs and SDKs, external APIs, MCP tools, and model-provider endpoints, providing examples and integration documentation.
• Build reliable agent and workflow integrations with asynchronous execution, event streaming, state handling, retries, timeouts, error recovery, and data-integrity guarantees.
• Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access, secrets integration, audit events, and usable interfaces for agent configuration, policy management, run review, and observability.
• Adapt, deploy, test, and troubleshoot applications in customer-managed cloud, private-network, on-premises, and federal environments in collaboration with DevOps/SRE, GRC, Product, and partner engineers.
• Own quality and production support through testing, code reviews, telemetry, defect resolution, releases, documentation, partner handoffs, reusable platform improvements, and mentoring.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience shipping and supporting production applications, with scope and technical leadership appropriate to Senior or Staff level.
• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development across modern web frontends, backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and React, Next.js, or comparable frontend experience, including state management, API integration, and accessible user experiences.
• Strong backend experience with Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Java, or a similar language, including API design, service integration, validation, and error handling.
• Experience with data modeling, relational databases, migrations, caching, asynchronous or event-driven processing, authentication, authorization, secure API access, secrets handling, and audit logging.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing, code review, Git, containers, CI/CD, and deploying or troubleshooting applications in cloud or Kubernetes environments.
• Ability to debug across browser, service, API, and data layers using logs, metrics, and traces, and to own issues through validated resolution.
• Strong technical judgment, written and verbal communication, requirements analysis, documentation, and experience using AI-assisted engineering tools with careful validation.

Nice to have

• Full-stack experience in national security, defense, federal agencies, or other government programs, with an active U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience with STIG hardening, NIST controls, RMF/ATO evidence, FedRAMP, or DoD impact-level environments.
• Experience with Keycloak, OAuth/OIDC, fine-grained access controls, sensitive-data controls, AI/LLM applications, agent integrations, RAG, MCP tools, evaluations, or Temporal.
• Customer-facing or forward-deployed engineering experience across multiple partner organizations.
• Experience adapting applications for government cloud, restricted-network, or on-premises deployments, including Second Front or comparable federal delivery platforms.
