Manager, Technical Accounting & Policy (U.S. GAAP)

Location: Hybrid in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States; generally requires working from the Englewood Cliffs office at least three days per week.

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 yearly, bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Lead accounting analysis and documentation for complex and non-recurring transactions, including business combinations, divestitures, leases, impairments, and restructuring.
• Prepare technical accounting memos supporting management conclusions under U.S. GAAP and partner with external auditors.
• Advise Controllership, FP&A, and business finance teams on accounting issues and translate guidance into operational execution.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue recognition, leases, equity, and long-lived asset accounting.
• Monitor emerging accounting standards and coordinate implementation readiness.
• Support footnote disclosures, MD&A, SOX documentation, training, control design, onboarding, process improvements, walkthroughs, and audit deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA required.
• At least 4 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, or policy roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple organizational levels.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and transparency.
• Must be willing to work in the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey office.

• Experience working in a publicly traded company or Big Four accounting firm.
