Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager (Digital Assets)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid-friendly environment.

Salary: $145,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Prepare consolidated and statutory financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures under US GAAP, including multi-currency consolidation and FX translation.
• Lead the group external audit and approximately five international statutory audits, including audits in Ireland and Singapore.
• Research, document, and present technical accounting positions for complex and non-routine transactions.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, RevOps, FP&A, and Operational Accounting on accounting, billing, reporting, and close processes.
• Support workstreams covering ASC 606, ASC 350-60, ASC 842, ASC 718, and ASC 805/810, as well as regulatory reporting for broker-dealer entities and CIMA VASP returns.
• Improve reporting processes through disclosure automation, Workiva and other reporting tools, AI-enabled workflows, accounting policies, and ICFR documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including Big 4 or comparable audit experience at Senior or Manager level and 2+ years in industry.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge with hands-on experience applying ASC 606 and other complex standards.
• Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements and disclosures, not only reviewing them.
• Experience leading external audits, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong technical writing skills for audit-ready memos and position papers.
• Experience in SaaS or technology; exposure to financial services, trading, or digital assets is preferred.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and reason from first principles where guidance is limited.
• Clear communication with non-finance stakeholders and strong Excel skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sage Intacct, Workiva, FloQast, or AI tools.
• CPA or ACA/ACCA qualification.
