Legal Counsel

Location: London, England, GB; hybrid with 2 in-office days per week

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers and strategic partners.
• Advise stakeholders on legal and commercial risks, providing pragmatic, commercially focused solutions.
• Advise on IT, data protection, and e-privacy compliance.
• Develop and update template agreements and legal policies with key stakeholders.
• Contribute to AI and legal technology adoption and provide support on other legal matters.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years' post-qualification experience in-house or at a commercial or corporate law firm; candidates with more or less PQE are welcome.
• Qualified to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales or another common law jurisdiction.
• Full-service commercial legal support experience, including drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements to tight timescales.
• Experience advising on IT, data protection/e-privacy, and commercial law.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and proven technical ability.
• Experience using AI tooling or openness to upskill in AI.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of intellectual property, competition law, or regulated sectors.
• Knowledge of the insurance and/or financial services sector.
