Legal Counsel (AI)

Location: Hybrid at hirify.global HQ in the UK, with an average minimum of 1 day per week in the central London office; work from another location is available for up to 6 weeks per year.

Salary: £80,000–£100,000 per year, based on experience.

hirify.global develops screen-free interactive audio players and audio content for children, with a catalogue of more than 1,000 titles from creators, publishers and labels.

What you will do

• Support global corporate governance, including board and committee papers, minutes, resolutions, statutory registers, cap table records and Companies House filings.
• Support corporate matters through due diligence, corporate document drafting and project management.
• Lead commercial contracts end-to-end, including content and IP licensing, SaaS, procurement, technology, manufacturing, supply chain and marketing agreements.
• Develop contract templates, playbooks and processes, using AI and other tools to streamline legal operations.
• Train internal teams on contracts, approvals and legal best practice.
• Provide practical advice on consumer law, AI, data protection, IP and other ad hoc legal projects.

Requirements

• Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales or equivalent, with the right to work in the UK.
• Around 3–6 years of post-qualification experience in-house or at a leading law firm.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, with sound judgment on when to take a firm or pragmatic position.
• Hands-on corporate experience, ideally including venture or growth-stage fundraising readiness and board and company secretarial work such as drafting minutes and resolutions.
• Deep practical expertise in the relevant legal area and the ability to explain complex issues clearly to non-lawyers.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence influencing senior stakeholders across multiple teams.
• Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• A curious, solution-oriented, hands-on approach.
