Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial

Location: Nottingham, United Kingdom; hybrid with 40% office base

What you will do

• Lead complex, high-value commercial agreements for important clients and business opportunities.
• Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, from negotiation through execution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate technology, data, software licensing, services, and framework agreements.
• Improve contracting processes, templates, playbooks, governance frameworks, and systems.
• Support business transformation programmes, including M&A integration and legal service development.
• Partner with Legal, Sales, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and senior business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with solid post-qualification experience in commercial contract law.
• Experience independently managing complex commercial contracting programmes and negotiations.
• Experience leading large-scale contracts and supporting important clients and commercial relationships.
• Experience designing and implementing process improvements, governance frameworks, and contracting systems.
• Strong commercial judgement, partner management, influencing, and senior stakeholder skills.
• Ability to take ownership of complex matters and provide practical legal advice and solutions.
