Senior Product Engineer - Coding & People Leadership (TypeScript)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid with at least 2–3 days per week in the office. Candidates willing to relocate to Berlin are welcome.

Salary: €90,000–€110,000+ annually, plus equity worth 45% of base salary.

hirify.global is building a collaborative scheduling platform for the construction industry to help project managers identify delays and disruptions before they affect project timelines.

What you will do

• Build and own product features end to end, from understanding user problems through implementation and delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering on pragmatic solutions and high-quality software.
• Coach junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, explanation, code review, and actionable feedback.
• Take formal people-management responsibility through 1:1s, development goals, performance discussions, and career development.
• Progressively lead larger projects and eventually take responsibility for product streams, including scope, coordination, risks, and delivery.

Requirements

• Senior-level engineering ability to independently build and ship production software, debug unfamiliar systems, review code, and explain technical trade-offs.
• Ability to work flexibly across frontend and backend, potentially in a 50/50 or 80/20 split.
• Experience coaching less experienced engineers and demonstrating how their skills improved over time; occasional onboarding or code review alone is insufficient.
• Willingness to own all aspects of people leadership, including direct feedback, clear expectations, and performance issues.
• Product-minded, structured, collaborative judgment and comfort with startup ambiguity.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.
• Willingness to work closely with the Berlin team in the office at least 2–3 days per week.
