What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-quality software using Java and Javascript.
• Implement architecture, DevOps, performance, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as the most senior engineer on projects.
• Align technical decisions with client business concerns and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Create effective documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer in commercial development teams.
• Expert understanding of Java and Javascript.
• Strong proficiency in TDD, SOLID, and XP.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD practices and deployments.
• Location: Ability to work hybrid in Leeds, UK (2 days per week).
• Experience navigating ambiguity and solving complex problems collaboratively.
