Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Salary: EUR 60,000–70,000 yearly

What you will do

• Develop practical optimization and algorithmic solutions for business challenges.
• Build and maintain infrastructure and orchestration pipelines using AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, and AWS Step Functions.
• Develop, maintain, monitor, and proactively improve reliable production services and backend architecture.
• Write efficient Python code and build maintainable, production-grade applications.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments using GitLab and CloudFormation.
• Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate with analytics engineers and data scientists to turn business questions into software solutions.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with solid programming fundamentals and 6+ years of experience in a related domain.
• Expert-level Python skills.
• Good understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
• Understanding of pipelines and orchestration systems.
• Experience building maintainable, production-grade applications.
• Experience with packaging and modularization of software systems.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and Git version control.
• Proactive ownership of backend and architecture health, monitoring, governance, and reliability.
• Self-driven approach to problem-solving and learning, with the ability to balance long-term system design against immediate business value.

• System design experience.
