Field Quality Manager (Consumer Electronics)

Location: China or the Netherlands; candidates must have the right to work in either location. Hybrid working model. Amsterdam is the listed office location.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end field defect management from market detection through validated resolution.
• Monitor and validate quality reports from Customer Support, community forums, repair centers, B2B channels, and other sources.
• Build intake, categorization, prioritization, and diagnostic decision frameworks for field issues.
• Lead closed-loop failure resolution with suppliers, enforce SLAs, and improve defect resolution turnaround time.
• Drive early-life post-launch surveillance and feed field failure insights into Product, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Strategic Sourcing, and Circular Operations.
• Conduct supplier quality due diligence, readiness reviews, risk analyses, and recommendations before contracting.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Field Quality or Quality Operations, including experience with consumer electronics such as smartphones, audio, or IoT devices.
• Experience interfacing with, managing, and driving discussions with internal teams and suppliers.
• Technical ability to understand hardware and software anomalies and translate them into actionable tickets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with macOS, Google Workspace, and Basecamp.
