Reliability Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Analyze equipment lifecycle data, performance losses, and cost drivers to predict failures and identify improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate root cause analysis for complex machinery issues using FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and PHA.
• Test new ideas, support machine trials, and evaluate process performance and material changes.
• Review preventive maintenance programs, develop maintenance strategies and SOPs, and define machine inspection criteria.
• Assess proposed procurement and operational changes, support machine installations and capital projects, and ensure maintainability and spare-part requirements.
• Lead cross-functional improvement work to increase equipment availability, reduce maintenance costs, improve site productivity, and maintain safety, quality, and statutory inspection compliance.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a reliability engineer or production specialist in a manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge of reliability engineering techniques, including FMEA, FTA, PHA, and criticality analysis.
• Proven ability to facilitate root cause analysis and resolve complex technical equipment failures.
• Practical experience developing preventive maintenance strategies, SOPs, and machine inspection criteria.
• Hands-on experience supporting new machine installations, engineering trials, and capital projects.
• Strong communication skills for guiding production teams and collaborating on safety and quality standards.

Nice to have

• Experience applying maintainability analysis in high-volume automated production settings.
• Degree or formal qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering.
