Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer – Mass Production

Location: Sensata Wuhu, China; onsite manufacturing plant role.

What you will do

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of methods, operation sequences, and manufacturing processes for parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
• Evaluate, plan, and design manufacturing processes, including machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling.
• Collaborate with design engineering, Production, Quality, and NPD/NPI teams on new product release, introduction, process handover, corrective actions, and stable mass production.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements for new and existing product lines.
• Lead manufacturing records, reporting systems, and process improvement activities on the shop floor.

Requirements

• University degree required, with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Solid experience in mass-production manufacturing processes. Experience in the automotive or automotive components industry is preferred.
• Hands-on experience sustaining and continuously improving mature production processes, with demonstrated results in process stability, yield, scrap, productivity, cycle time, and cost improvement.
• Ability to address complex shop-floor process issues using structured methods such as 8D, 5 Why, SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis.
• Strong understanding of standardized work, process parameters, SOP/WI, and process control, with the ability to ensure consistent execution against defined standards.
• Ability to work closely with Production and Quality teams to identify process deviations, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
• Ability to collaborate with NPD/NPI teams during new product introduction and process handover.
• Team-player mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Strong communication, organization, planning, time management, interpersonal, collaboration, ownership, accountability, ethical values, and integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with automotive quality systems and methodologies such as IATF 16949, PFMEA, Control Plan, and APQP.
• Experience in the automotive or automotive components industry.
