Strategic Project Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid, full-time, based in Munich or Cologne, Germany. Other locations include Düsseldorf. Minimum one month of onboarding at the Zurich headquarters, followed by home-based work with regular customer visits across the DACH region and in-person team time in Zurich and at company hubs.

What you will do

• Run customer implementations end to end, including kickoff, scope, planning, configuration, testing, and go-live.
• Manage several customers in parallel while keeping delivery dates, budgets, and scope under control.
• Coordinate Integrations Engineers, Technical Project Managers, and AI Automation Specialists.
• Lead global programs across multiple ERPs, legal entities, and countries, driving the first go-live and subsequent rollout waves.
• Run steering committees, own decisions, create recovery plans, and lead delivery teams on strategic engagements.
• Hand over implementations cleanly to Consultants and the support organization after go-live.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering complex projects in management consulting, enterprise software implementation, or large-scale transformation delivery.
• Proven experience running multi-country or multi-entity programs with senior client stakeholders and steering committees involving client executives.
• Experience leading a delivery team, not only managing a project plan.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including translating business needs into actionable work for technical teams.
• Fluent German and English, spoken and written.
• Ability to manage scope actively, identify change requests, escalate early, and maintain delivery discipline under pressure.
• Confidence leading meetings with customer finance or IT stakeholders.
