Manufacturing Process and Yield Engineer

Location: Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang (Penang), Malaysia; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Lead identification and resolution of manufacturing defects and yield-related Pareto issues.
• Take responsibility for overall yield improvement projects by monitoring and analyzing yield trends and driving robust problem solving.
• Design and implement manufacturing methods, operation sequences, processes, layouts, tooling requirements, and time standards for parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Establish, deliver, and maintain manufacturing processes for new products throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and distribute manufacturing documentation supporting product design, configuration, and build requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve tool availability, cycle time, utilization, cost, and process quality, while coordinating implementation with stakeholders, suppliers, and outsourced partners.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically 7–10 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions or a related field.
• Experience with manufacturing engineering, manufacturing processes, process improvement, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, tooling, and new product development.
• Knowledge of data analysis, automation, project management, engineering management, supply chain, and Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of Python, software development, software engineering, systems engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering.
• Effective communication, results orientation, learning agility, digital fluency, and customer centricity.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma certification.
• American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification.
