Global Banking & Markets Operations - New York - Associate - Asset Servicing

Location: New York, NY, United States; onsite office position

Base salary: $80,000–$140,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage a group of regional Asset Servicing teams and collaborate with managers and operational groups globally.
• Oversee voluntary and mandatory income and corporate action events for equity and fixed-income products, including event creation, reconciliation, instructions, entitlements, claims, and client service.
• Resolve complex operational issues through prioritization, multitasking, workflow analysis, and deep market and industry expertise.
• Strengthen risk and control frameworks, review operating-environment risks, and support remediation for new products, businesses, and migrations.
• Deliver process, tool, and technology enhancements using business intelligence, analytics, and AI-related initiatives.
• Partner with a Vice President to build a resilient team through feedback, coaching, diverse perspectives, and career development.

Requirements

• Experienced Operations professional with strong interpersonal, stakeholder-management, and communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Deep technical and operational expertise, strong analytical ability, and the capacity to understand complex workflows and resolve challenging issues.
• Knowledge of industry, market trends, operational risks, and control environments, with the ability to develop and implement control enhancements.
• Ability to handle challenging client requests, build long-term relationships, and use business intelligence, analytics, and empirical data to assess client and team impacts.
• Ability to identify functional enhancements, leverage solutions from other teams, and deliver practical improvements to processes, tools, and technologies.
• Ability to take ownership of complex situations, influence outcomes, provide guidance, and work effectively with global teams.

Nice to have

• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to corporate action event processing or middle office functions.
• Awareness of emerging business, economic, and market trends.
• Persistence toward challenging goals, forward planning, contingency identification, and practical creative problem-solving.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to encourage participation, recognize contributions, and present persuasive rationales.
