Client Service Supervisor - Fund Accounting - Alternatives

Location: Boston, United States of America

Salary: $70,000–$100,000 annual base salary plus annual target bonus; additional discretionary bonuses and profit-sharing may apply.

What you will do

• Lead the alternatives client service accounting team and manage, mentor, train, and coach 2–4 Client Service Representatives and Senior Client Service Representatives.
• Prepare, review, and approve monthly and quarterly NAV packages and allocations for funds investing across equity, fixed income, private equity, private debt, real estate, hedge funds, and other financial instruments.
• Reconcile general ledger transactions and balances with supporting documentation, including fund capital statements, private loan documents, prime brokerage statements, Markit WSO reporting, and client supplemental reporting.
• Work with clients to resolve complex equalization, IRR, management fee, and waterfall/carry calculations, serving as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Support year-end fund financial statement audits, regulatory reporting, tax preparation, investor capital calls and distributions, and quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles.
• Enhance policies, procedures, internal controls, technology tools, and procedural guides; support new business and product implementations and conversions.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a business-related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Alternatives Fund Accounting, Global Custody, and/or Transfer Agency preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of one or more alternatives segments: Hedge Funds, Public/Private Debt Funds, Private Equity, or Real Estate Funds.
• Highly proficient with Excel.
• Working knowledge of WSO preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong listening, goal-setting, efficiency, effectiveness, and client service capabilities.
