Associate Manager, Operations (Fintech)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid

Salary: $73,000–$140,000 USD annual base salary in Massachusetts; other states: $70,000–$135,000 USD. May also include discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Provide operational support to hedge fund clients across various investment strategies.
• Build and maintain client relationships and act as a liaison with prime brokers, counterparties, and internal teams.
• Provide middle- and back-office support for equities, fixed income, swaps, bank debt, contracts for differences, futures, commodities, options, FX, mortgages, and repos.
• Research cash, position, and market value reconciliation exceptions, including trade discrepancies and settlement issues.
• Process management fees, incentive fees, fund subscriptions and redemptions, and collateral wires; run cash reports and confirm payments.
• Review work prepared by others and train operations staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of back-office operations experience at a prime broker, administrator, hedge fund, mutual fund, investment advisor, or financial/retirement planner.
• Experience with equities, fixed income, repurchase agreements, futures, FX, mortgages, options, and working knowledge of corporate actions.
• Middle- and back-office experience covering trade settlements, fail control, reconciliation of trade discrepancies, and client servicing.
• Solid MS Excel knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Prior experience with OTC products.
