Senior Operations Associate, TSS

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with flexible in-office days

Base pay: $125,000–$200,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonus and additional benefits

Quantitative investment management and trading firm using technology, artificial intelligence, data science, and quantitative research for systematic investing and trading.

What you will do

• Provide middle office operational support to trading desks and collaborate with Trading, Engineering, Corporate teams, brokers, counterparties, and administrators.
• Coordinate cross-functional processes and projects supporting core business operations, new strategies, and business initiatives.
• Resolve trade breaks and perform daily and month-end reconciliation of positions, cash, and P&L against broker and administrator records.
• Maintain accurate trading-system data, operational procedures, and risk controls.
• Analyze and process corporate actions, and monitor and resolve locates and potential buy-ins.
• Identify opportunities to build tools, improve process flows and controls, and develop operational dashboards and analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a strong academic record.
• 6–10 years of relevant financial operations or trade support experience.
• Thorough understanding of the full trade lifecycle across multiple products, particularly equities, futures, and options.
• Ability to work with large datasets to identify patterns and irregularities.
• Understanding of operational risk management related to trade support and execution.
• Proven experience establishing a strong control environment and implementing efficiencies.
• Ability to work across multiple technology platforms and design or contribute to operational dashboards and analytics.
• Strong prioritization skills, sound judgment, collaborative problem-solving approach, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Bloomberg.

Nice to have

• FINRA Series 7 or Series 99 license.
• Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, and LLM-based developer tools.
• Proficiency with SQL and/or Python.
