Accounting Operations Specialist

Location: Hybrid, Provo/SLC Office or Williamsburg, NY; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $115K–$140K, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the advance deposit process and accurately apply payments to advance deposit and standard plan customer accounts.
• Process and track IDRE refunds through resolution.
• Resolve Finance customer support tickets and refund questions, communicating clear answers to Client Success and customers.
• Provide backup coverage across revenue operations, accounts receivable, collections, and cash inflows and outflows.
• Work down open support tickets, learn IDR terminology, and adapt to evolving systems and processes.
• Become the subject-matter expert for owned processes and expand into broader responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Finance is also considered.
• 1–4 years of accounting experience; Big 4 experience with PwC, EY, KPMG, and/or Deloitte is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP or accounting system such as Rillet, NetSuite, or QuickBooks.
• Comfort using AI tools such as Claude in day-to-day work.
• Clear communication skills for explaining accounting details to Finance colleagues, other teams, and customers.
• Ability to manage up, keep the manager informed, work independently, handle ambiguity, and maintain progress under pressure and deadlines.
