Accounting Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Base salary: $90,000–$160,000 per year; stock options may be offered in addition to the base salary.

What you will do

• Partner with the VP of Finance on accounting functions and operations to improve transparency and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, cost documentation, ledgers, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare consolidated account schedules, quarterly reporting packages, financial reports, analyses, and key performance indicators for executive management.
• Manage revenue and gross-to-net accounting and analysis, including forecasted gross-to-net projections.
• Support annual audits, quarterly reviews, payroll processing and reporting, and local and federal tax filings.
• Maintain internal controls, identify risks, implement process automation, and improve the accuracy and speed of the month-end close.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Strong financial analysis skills and a deep understanding of accounting concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional areas.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated success in a competitive, entrepreneurial environment.
• Self-motivated and ambitious, with a critical-thinking mindset and the ability to anticipate obstacles and evaluate alternatives.
• Strong sense of urgency when responding to and addressing company needs.
