Senior Project Engineer (Marine Automation)

Location: Gliwice or Wrocław, Poland; 70–85% of the work is performed from the office and home office, with commissioning trips to shipyards, typically in France, Germany, and Italy, for up to 15–30% of the time.

What you will do

• Design Marine Automation Distributed Control Systems.
• Implement project engineering for hardware and process controllers.
• Program controllers, with programming accounting for approximately 70–80% of the role.
• Test and commission automation products at shipyards.
• Deliver projects on time and in line with customer expectations and engineering quality requirements.
• Work with project teams and customers on technical implementation.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in automation or a similar field.
• At least 3 years of experience with distributed control systems or programmable logic controllers.
• Automation engineering and programming experience with Function Block Diagram and Sequence Function Chart languages.
• Written and spoken English and Polish at B1 level or above.
• Knowledge of engineering quality requirements.
• Customer-oriented teamwork and project collaboration skills.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
• Category B driving license.

Nice to have

• Marine, HVAC, or ESD process knowledge.
• Additional DCS/PLC control systems experience.
• Good German, French, or Italian communication skills.
• VBA skills.
