Senior II Hardware Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Cracow, Poland; onsite work is required 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Qualify and validate server hardware platforms and components.
• Evaluate pre-production hardware and server architectures and provide technical input on platform and component selection.
• Drive complex hardware and system-level investigations independently through resolution.
• Create and improve validation plans, test methodologies, tools, and technical documentation.
• Improve internal system-level testing frameworks and develop and maintain Python/Bash-based tools for hardware validation, diagnostics, and automation.
• Collaborate with OEMs, ODMs, vendors, and internal engineering teams while supporting hardware and firmware platform development.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of computer architecture and server hardware.
• Extensive hands-on experience with hardware debugging, validation, and system integration.
• Expertise in Linux for engineering, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of interactions between hardware, firmware, BIOS/UEFI, and operating systems.
• More than three years of programming experience in Python, including developing advanced test frameworks and embedded software and supporting hardware-software integration.
• Genuine interest in computers and electronics, with curiosity and willingness to challenge existing approaches.
• Ability to work onsite in Cracow 3 days per week as part of a hybrid arrangement.
• Ability to lift 18 kg independently.
