Mgr, Distribution Planning and Fulfillment

Location: Deerfield, Illinois, United States; onsite position. Ability to travel up to 25%.

Base salary: $90,000–$143,000 USD annually, plus participation in an annual bonus plan or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead operational performance for the Geodis West Jefferson Retail 3PL and support the Springwell operation.
• Manage distribution performance, financial results, customer satisfaction, service levels, cost, accuracy, fulfillment timing, and inventory control.
• Oversee material flow from manufacturing and suppliers through distribution centers to end customers.
• Drive continuous improvement, network optimization, product launches, productivity initiatives, and product transitions.
• Resolve SAP master-data issues involving weights, dimensions, routing, and cubing, while maintaining customer requirements and system records.
• Lead business reviews, audits, performance dashboards, training, change-management activities, and development of operations leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree is desirable.
• At least 10 years of relevant supply chain or manufacturing experience in roles of increasing responsibility, including at least 5 years leading large-scale, highly complex cross-functional strategic initiatives using a formal project management methodology and/or Six Sigma DMAIC discipline.
• Experience with end-to-end supply chain processes, including demand planning, supply planning, scheduling, capacity management, and/or logistics is required.
• Strong partnership-building, communication, influencing, change leadership, cross-functional collaboration, workshop facilitation, emotional intelligence, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years in a lead role.
• Experience operating in an ERP environment, preferably SAP.
• Supply chain and Six Sigma expertise through training, certification, and/or industry associations such as APICS, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, or PMP.
