Senior Software Engineer (Distributed Systems & File Sync)

Location: United States, New York, NY; primarily remote with required in-office presence once a month or once a quarter, as needed.

Base pay: $280,000–$310,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient file synchronization features.
• Build features, review code, write tests, and maintain infrastructure.
• Define engineering best practices and participate in code reviews and testing.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance across macOS and Windows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience with limited supervision.
• Ability to work entirely in TypeScript and SQL.
• Experience designing robust, scalable synchronization features for cross-platform applications.
• Experience with testing, code reviews, infrastructure maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work with macOS and Windows platforms.
