Lending Specialist-Sales (Consumer Loan Officer)

Location: Commerce City, Colorado, United States; on-site at 10430 Chambers Road #100

Salary: $24–$28 per hour, plus monthly incentives and a 3% annual target bonus.

What you will do

• Originate direct consumer loans and facilitate or fund loan closings through center, lending center, web, video, and other delivery channels.
• Interview applicants about financial history and goals, submit applications, and provide guidance throughout the loan process.
• Meet consumer loan production goals through consultative sales, account management, business development, and retention activities.
• Provide financial counseling, including communicating denied loan decisions and helping members use their money effectively.
• Track reporting and trends, improve service and productivity, and support education and service teams in meeting service-level agreements.
• Follow Bank Secrecy Act policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a financial services institution, including at least 6 months of consumer loan origination experience.
• Consumer loan origination experience must include products such as auto loans, personal loans, unsecured loans, home equity loans, or HELOCs.
• Knowledge of credit reporting and scoring, personal finance, auto buying, real estate lending, and current consumer finance matters.
• Knowledge of consumer lending regulations.
• Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills, with exceptional verbal and written communication.
• Ability to learn and execute new sales skills.
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute, 10-key touch skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and lending software.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of experience as a Wings MSR-LC.
