Senior Finance Business Analyst (Workday Financials)

Location: 100% telecommuting permitted; role associated with San Francisco, CA, USA. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.

Salary: $120,536 per year base salary, with potential eligibility for equity awards and incentive plans.

What you will do

• Partner with Accounting, Finance, and FP&A to define reporting requirements and develop financial solutions.
• Re-engineer current processes and deliver solutions for proposed projects and future business requests.
• Configure and support Workday Financials functionality across General Ledger, Actuals, Forecasts, Business Assets, Intercompany, Banking and Settlement, Expenses, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Projects.
• Use Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning knowledge to identify interdependencies and communicate technical and business implications, benefits, and risks.
• Advise partners on aligning business needs with Adaptive standard methodologies while maintaining strong working relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least three years of related work experience, including configuring and supporting Workday Financials modules across key functional areas.
• At least three years of experience with Workday Financials and with Accounting, Finance, FP&A, or Business Analyst roles focused on financial analysis, planning, and business partnering.
• At least three years of experience analyzing and optimizing financial processes and implementing solutions using Adaptive Planning.
• At least three years of experience with SOX compliance, SDLC, and control audit processes.
• At least three years of project management experience.
• At least three years of experience with financial systems or process integration during mergers and acquisitions.
• Sufficient English proficiency for frequent and regular professional verbal and written communication with worldwide colleagues and partners is required.
