Senior Associate, Workday Financials Product Team (Workday Financials)

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work arrangement with 18 remote workdays per quarter, subject to manager approval.

Base salary: $105,000–$120,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, test, and improve custom Workday Financials reports, dashboards, worklets, financial statements, and OfficeConnect reporting packages.
• Translate Accounting and Finance requirements into reporting specifications and Workday solutions; manage report sharing, access, and documentation.
• Support Financial Data Model maintenance, posting and elimination rules, accounting and consolidation details, business process configuration, release testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Support Workday Accounting Center and Adaptive Planning operations, including data loads, dimensions, versions, reports, and alignment with Workday Financials data.
• Investigate user issues, transaction activity, reconciliations, and reporting accuracy, escalating issues to IT or Workday support when needed.
• Help evaluate and implement Workday AI capabilities and productivity tools while maintaining data quality, controls, change management, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Workday Financials in financial reporting, finance operations, financial systems, accounting, audit, or a techno-functional role.
• Working knowledge of Workday Financials reporting tools, including Report Writer, Dashboards, and OfficeConnect.
• Proficiency in accounting fundamentals, including the general ledger, journals, accruals, and close processes.
• Exposure to Workday business process configuration.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate Workday and financial concepts effectively to finance and technical partners.
• This is a Workday Financials administration and reporting role, not an FP&A role, Staff Accountant role, or a position responsible for preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, or completing month-end close activities.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and/or Accounting Center.
• Curiosity about or early exposure to Workday AI and agent capabilities.
• Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics, SQL, or BI tools.
• Familiarity with Workday integrations such as EIB or Core Connectors.
• Workday certification, CPA designation, or CPA candidate status.
• Experience in asset management, private markets, or multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
