Industrial Engineer - Foundry Quality and Reliability Labs

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work

What you will do

• Develop and maintain end-to-end demand and capacity plans for material analysis, failure analysis, and reliability validation workflows.
• Apply time studies, utilization analysis, complex modeling, and industrial engineering methods to identify bottlenecks and improve lab productivity.
• Design KPI frameworks covering throughput time, utilization, quality yield, cost per test, and tool performance.
• Build automated dashboards and reporting pipelines with Power BI, Python, and SQL, integrating data from multiple platforms for real-time decision-making.
• Support continuous improvement of lab Quality Management System processes and compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025.
• Collaborate on equipment purchases, facility and layout modifications, workflow optimization, and productivity initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of industrial engineering or manufacturing operations experience, or a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field with 3+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of experience with capacity planning, factory operational planning, operational performance metrics, cost reductions, and LEAN manufacturing principles.
• 1+ years of experience using Python, SQL, or Power BI for data extraction, transformation, aggregation, and reporting to drive operational optimization.
• 1+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, laboratory, electronics, or a related environment.
• Ability to collaborate across architecture, design, and system engineering disciplines.
• Problem-solving skills focused on innovation, feasibility analysis, and tradeoff exploration.
• Communication and leadership abilities to influence and challenge roadmaps.
