Operations Engineer (Mid to Senior) (MES/Manufacturing)

Location: Hawthorne, California; onsite

Salary: $120,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the manufacturing execution system (MES), including site-wide rollout, configuration, user feedback, enhancements, work instructions, SOPs, training, adoption, and data accuracy.
• Develop system solutions and integrations that simplify MES usage and improve Operations processes.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, and leadership teams to identify friction points and prioritize improvements.
• Drive MES-enabled continuous process improvement activities.
• Analyze production workflows, labor utilization, equipment performance, and material flow to identify optimization opportunities.
• Coach teams on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field.
• 5+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Data Analytics.
• Experience with ERP, MES, PLM, and manufacturing data systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Manufacturo or other MES rollouts.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and data visualization best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and resolve quality issues and simplify complex data for all organizational levels.
• Experience in aerospace, space, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
• Experience with statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP.
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
